Denials And Affirmations – A Beginner's Guide
Denials and Affirmations are forms of prayer, and as such should be used prayerfully with Love, Power and Faith.
'Denials' and 'Affirmations' are thoughts and statements that help us to transform our mindset. In spirituality, to affirm is to hold firmly in mind, silently or audibly, a statement of Truth. To deny is to cancel-out in mind, silently or audibly, error thoughts and untruths.
Denials and Affirmations are tools for cleansing and rebuilding our minds (both conscious and sub-conscious). And that's because the correct use of denials and affirmations effectively engages, not only our thinking but also and feeling natures.
Denials and Affirmations are seemingly opposite sides of the same coin working towards a common positive outcome. Denials tear down, flush-out and free our minds from negative beliefs, thoughts, feelings and attitudes. Denial is the ability to deny, disown, refuse or reject unwanted thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes; it empowers the mind with the capacity to say 'No' to negative energy.
An affirmative statement teaches and elevates our mind. It injects, rebuilds and renews our mind with positive thoughts, feelings, beliefs and attitudes. Affirmation is our ability to affirm, accept, claim and enthrone newer and higher beliefs, feelings and positive attitudes; it is the power of the mind to say 'Yes' to positive energy.
One spiritual benefit of using denials and affirmations is the ultimate alignment of our consciousness with Spiritual Law and Principle. To the extent that our thoughts, words and actions are in accord with spiritual law and principle, to that extent Divine Order prevails in our lives, and to that extent all other things are added unto us.
Athough there are ready made denials and affirmations which you can download and use, you'll do well to eventually craft your very own denial and affirmation statements that reflect your peculiar needs and circumstances.
Create your denial in the first person and present tense; and speak them gently with personal conviction. Never speak your denials with force or vehemence. Speak your denial statements gently but firmly, and without any form of resistance whatsoever.
Create and speak your affirmations in the first person, in present tense, and with Power and Faith. Affirmations are positive statements of Truth. Speak or listen to them contemplatively with presence of mind, so as to absorb the impact and import of every statement affirmed.
Finally, Denials and Affirmations are forms of prayer, and as such should be used prayerfully. When used joyfully with love, power and Faith, Denials and Affirmations have the capacity to create new pathways in the brain which reprogram your mind to think, see, act and react positively to situations in your life and environment. Blessings!
